The Sandwich: invented by John Montague, Earl of Sandwich

Art fairyAuthentically, I share this practice crust. My fairy art godmother for 2013.

I found it difficult to cut words here and there and come up with my own poetry. In the end, it is satisfying. Done with Pan Pastels, acrylics, ephemera.

Today was very first time I used Pan Pastels (received my first kit by snail mail yesterday). I love it!!!! Thanks to Nathalie (she is in Germany), I am learning and experimenting http://nathaliesstudio.com/online-workshops/ubermedia/panpastel-english/.  The text is my own typefont fussycut and adhered with Mod Podge (thank you Christine Mason Miller http://www.christinemasonmiller.com for the technique learned in your http://21secrets2012.ning.com workshop. The rest is all Pan Pastels, sprayed with a varnish.  It does not show, but there is crakle paint in the middle of the stencils.

Working my creative muscle, it means not being ashamed of showing my crusts. This was an exercise from Traci Bautista, and I was not successful at it. It is a mixed media piece, including minimal acrylic stamping, and markers, but mainly tube watercolors. I learned I do not like the effect of markers too much on this. I love the variety of colors though. Well, you get to see it, just to show I am trying to be authentic with my own learning and creative process.
